Enjoying being Mr. Clutch

I've decided to blog real quick as I wait for my computer to copy files to the network drive so others can use them.

In the past month I have had the opportunity to both preach at my church and lead worship. It has been almost 9 months since I had lead corporate worship at church. It was a great time and truly have missed it, but also know that in that setting is not my calling of my life right now.

When we came to Woodland Acres I was positive of the move but not sure of what my role would be. I have always served in smaller churches that had a limited staff. With smaller churches that only have small staffs (usually 2 - Me and the Pastor) There where may things that where not necessarily in my job description that came my way...(That is why they always put that last line in there about, And any duties deemed necessary by the Pastor). With this type of setting at these places I became a Jack of All Trades but Master at only A Few. I have always embraced that role but with coming to a larger church I didn't know where I would fit. We have a Children's Minister, Education Minister, Music Minister, Church Administrator, Church Secretary, Custodians, and then Me. I have really enjoyed getting the time to focus my attention on just our Student Ministry but like with so many other things I miss getting to try my had at other things.

Getting the opportunity to fill the Pulpit for my Pastor was was an enjoyable experience that I had never been given. I have preached at D-nows, Youth Revivals, & for my Students but never been in trusted with delivering the message to my own church. Once again I will tell you that I enjoyed it but know that as of now I am now called to Pastor and as of now I hope I don't. I enjoy just being a Student Minister and Mr. Clutch for my Church.

You Lord and friends for the opportunity to do what I love. Poop
